Weird Side Effects

Each treatment seems to be a little harder. The fatigue is the worst part. I don’t have the energy to do anything the Saturday and Sunday after treatment so I just listen to my body and rest. Tim took good care of me and my daughter and my mom dropped off some food for us. Each day after that I feel a little better. My hair continues to come out each day. It is still very frustrating. I have worn the wig topper a few times but it’s uncomfortable and I don’t really like the way it looks. Mostly because my actual hair is so thin and wavy it doesn’t blend well. So I am still wearing hats. People really only talk about losing your hair, eyebrows and lashes. Thank goodness I still have eyebrows and lashes (knock on wood). They don’t really talk about the other places you lose hair. I won’t get too personal here but I will mention that one of the places that really surprised me – my nostril hair! I noticed my nose was really dry and I was sneezing a lot. It even felt swollen and was hard to breathe at night. I looked in my magnifying mirror to do my makeup and realized that my nostrils were pretty bare. Of course this happens as the pollen in Georgia is exploding. So I feel like the pollen is going straight into my system. I always have a headache and am sneezing constantly. I am not really sure if there is anything to help this but I wanted to mention it because I was completely surprised. Apparently your nostril hair even helps you smell things so my sense of smell is not great. Just another fun side effect!

On a positive note, my son, Grayson came home from college to visit me and Tim. We were able to spend the day together on Saturday. We went to Ball Ground and were able to meet his girlfriend’s mom for the first time. We had great pizza and a wonderful visit with them. My next treatment is Thursday so I will try to get ahead with work and get things accomplished at home. Then back on the roller coaster!
